Components of 4WDS

The main components of the 4WDSS are two differentials, one is front and other is rear and a transfer case. A part time system have a some locking hubs in addition to these components. Both type of 4WDS have advanced electronics which help in better traction handling.

Differentials : There are two differencials, one is the front differencial and the other is the rear differencial. The main function of the Differencials is to send the torque from the drive shaft to drive wheels.

Transfer Case : This component splits the power between rear and the front axels in a 4WDS. The transfer case in a part time 4WDS loacks the rear axle to the front axel drive shaft so that both move at the same speed.
